About Our Advisor
As owner and principal of A. Neff Associates, Arlene Neff is a Registered Investment Adviser and Financial Consultant.
As a Registered Representative in contract with the full service investment banking and brokerage firm of Allegheny Investments, Limited,
of Pittsburgh, Ms. Neff also effects trades of investment securities and brokers insurance contracts.
Ms. Neff has focused her practice on financial planning and portfolio management for individuals and small businesses and
organizations since 1983. She provides a variety of analytical and investment services to clients including but not limited to: evaluation
and management of investment programs; development of financial and business plans; consultation and research services for financial and
business projects; and brokering of the full range of investment products. Ms. Neff can also assist in the administration/acquisition of
disability, life, annuity and related insurance contracts for groups or individuals within the State of Pennsylvania and the evaluation of
such programs, elsewhere. Ms. Neff specializes in the tailoring of financial opportunities to achieve the individual or corporate goals
and objectives of her clients with minimum risk and optimum return on the funds committed.
Immediately prior to founding
A. Neff Associates, Arlene Neff was employed by what was then Parker/Hunter,
Incorporated, where she obtained her initial training in the financial services industry. That training has since been expanded
upon with course work in financial planning and tax preparation offered by the National Endowment for Financial Education and the
College for Financial Planning and continues, today, with attendance at continuing education courses and seminars conducted
by Allegheny Investments, Ltd.; the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Financial Planning Association; and other businesses and
organizations involved in and associated with the financial services industry.
In addition to her years in financial services, Ms. Neff's professional history includes a broad spectrum of
corporate responsibilities including statistical analysis of business ventures, econometric modeling of business operations,
and forecasting and planning for industrial product sales, product demand, and implementation of product-line marketing programs
for a Fortune 100 company.
Arlene Neff formally completed the National Endowment’s Certified Financial Planner Professional Education Program in March of 1995.
Her Master's Degree in Business Administration was earned at the University of Pittsburgh, in 1981, with a focus on finance. Her Bachelor of
Science Degree was also obtained from the University of Pittsburgh with a combined major in the areas of Mathematics, Computer Science and
Psychology in 1975.
Ms. Neff holds professional memberships in the Financial Planning Association and its Pittsburgh Chapter and has served as a
member of the Pittsburgh Chapter's Board of Directors. Other community activities have included positions on the Civil Service
Commission of the Borough of Edgewood for which she currently serves as Chairperson; the Boards of Directors of the Pittsburgh
Countywide Corporation, the National Association of Women Business Owners - Pittsburgh Chapter, The Downtown Neighborhood Association,
Southwinds, Incorporated, Zonta International -- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Concord, New Hampshire chapters; and the Loan Review Committees
of the Pittsburgh Countywide Corporation and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.
